Women and Youth for Social Justice
The Campaign! (WYSJ)
Promotion of Equal Rights & Social Justice for Women, Young People and the Vulnerable population

who we are

"Women and Youth for Social Justice - The Campaign! (WYSJ) formerly known as Young Women Campaign Against AIDS (YWCAA) has evolved with time and is progressively moving to promotion of rights and social justice. It was initiated as a merry-go-round (savings and credit scheme) group of young women graduates in 2000. It was registered as a community based organization in 2002, and later as a non govermental organization in 2004 under the NGO Act to address the devastation caused by HIV/AIDS. Life experience at the university in addition to great loss of family members as a result of HIV was a turning point that prompted members to focus on addressing the scourge among vulnerable populations and households in urban informal settlements, and rural poor areas in Kenya.
