|About||Ms. Phoebe Ongadi is the Treasurer for Young Women Campaign Against AIDS (YWCAA). Phoebe is a holder of BSc Nutrition and Dietetics. She is the Head of Outreach Services at Getrude's Children Hospital. Phoebe is a long time volunteer for YWCAA and attributes her career path to her outreach experience with YWCAA visiting the sick in hospital and utmost children; - particularly, the disadvantaged orphaned and vulnerable children. She is an excellent Trainer of Trainers in HIV/AIDS and counseling with an inborn personal relations. She is also a Certified Peer to Peer Educator with NOPE. Phoebe is currently pursuing Master's in Public Health (Monitoring and Evaluation), Project and Finance Management.
She is passionate about creating a desired impact on HIV/AIDS Behaviour Change and Communication among the youth and adolescents; and is an advocate of women empowerment. She is excellent at planning and organization, having led fundraising events that have fostered partnership and publicity for the Hospital's Outreach unit in the areas of HIV/AIDS and OVC Programs. Phoebe has also seen the initiation of Mentor Mother's Support Programs at the Hospital's Outreach Clinics; an initiative she owes her experience garnered from YWCAA as a volunteer. She brings to YWCAA a rich experience and dedicated service to the OVC and People Living with HIV/AIDS. She also champions in advocating for Elimination of Mother To Child Transmissions (EMTCT).
